I've asked the list about transmission crossmembers in AD trucks. I talked to Rob at No Limit Engineering, yesterday. He says that there were two different crossmembers in these trucks. The first is

Yes, now that you say this, I did in my 53 3100. I removed the front member, and left the rear one. That's the one that my home-made tranny mount is welded to. With a TH-350 and GM smallblock, you w
