Ben, If the connections are compression type fittings, never use Teflon tape, if for some reason you're using a union type connector, the use the Teflon tape. FWIW, I've never seen anything but flare

I believe the proportioning valve and possibly the residual valves have 1/8 NPT fittings. NPT should be wrapped, flare fittings should not. Using tape where you shouldn't is not critical in a brake s

Ben,never use teflon tape on flare fittings but when adding power brakes with the booster in the original location you will need to add residual pressure valves and a proportioning valve these do not
