I'm working thru my Rochester 2-bbl restoration and had to take the choke plate shaft out. It is held in with 2 small brass screws, staked in place, and of course I damaged one getting it out. I was

Hi Mark I have been using small stainless screws. It's been a while since I bought any, but I believe I found them at Lowes. I also use Locktite instead of upsetting the ends. The other nice thing is

Mark, What kind of Rochester? Is it a 2GC? If so, I have a spare and can probably live without two screws. I would think loctite would work fine. A small center punch will stake the screw too. Mike K
