The 261 Chev engine I bought has a casting number 3855590 (near as I can make out) on the intake manifold. I suspect there may have been some manifold swapping. It could have come from a 216, 235, or

My 50 ½ ton has than manifold and the engine is a late 50's 235. As far as I know, its the original manifold to the engine. oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built between 1941 and 195

Went out and looked at some manifolds. 3835590 appears on three 235 manifolds. These are the tall carb mount variety. Also have two, one off a 235 and one off a 261 with a 3754644. These are the low
