I just installed a rebuilt clutch pressure plate, rebuilt disk, new pilot bushing and throwout bearing. I had the flywheel resurfaced. The problem is I am getting clutch chatter in first gear when I

I would blame the rebuilt clutch and pressure plate. These are two items I would always try to buy new. I know my father put in two rebuilt clutches in a row that chattered. Replaced with new clutch

If the pressure plate is the 3 finger style, check that the finger height is the same on all 3 fingers. I have had the adjustment nuts move on two rebuilt plates, and considering the work involved in

Tony, not sure what could be causing this, maybe because when you say "chatter" I think of the shake and lurch takeoff when the clutch engages, this is usually due to oil on the clutch disc, or a war

The clutch disk has a set of springs to absorb tourque pulses from the engine. These springs stand proud of the disk on one side but not the other. The side that stands proud must go into the recess
