My 29-59 Parts Book shows the following: In 1957 "K" was a 261 engine used in the 6000 series trucks. In 1958 & 59 "K" was a 235 engine with 3 speed transmission used in series 34, 35 & 3700 (3/4 ton

Casting number lists linked from Inliners site show head to be 1953, block from 1954, but there was a lot of overlap. CON-4 is a foundry ID of some sort. It appears on all US - made blocks. -- Origi
