- These were only used by GM until 1960 +/-. This makes me think GM didn't want to pay a royalty to Timken who invented tapered roller bearings. Anyone have more info. on bearing history? Bob Adler ol

- When I had to replace the front wheel bearings on my 51 3100 I found the bearings at the local NAPA parts house. They are not cheap, over $100 for the complete set as I recall. Hope this helps. Don S
