I opened up the gasket kit for my 235 and the head gasket is copper. I've never used a copper head gasket before. What if any treatment is recommended for a copper head gasket? Thanks, Mike oletrucks

I believe a copper head gasket is supposed to be annealed. That consists of heating it up, then quenching in water. I didn't even think copper gaskets were still being made - how old is that gasket

I used Felpro from Patrick's on mine and it was put in dry and developed a minor coolant seepage once it reached operating temp. He did recommend a gasket sealer when I talked to him after the fact.
