- An update to a topic from back in November: Turns out the "heavy duty" voltage reducer from Chevy Duty is only 1 ohm, and rated for 50 watts. The heater motor in my truck is about 2 or 2.1 ohm, which

- Help, its getting cold in Illinois. My 50 has been converted to 12 volt and has an original heater. I think the blower motor is also original. It will run on 12 volts, but it seems like it is running

- Hi Jim, To run my 6 volt heater blower I installed part # EL 135 HS from American Classic (http://www.americanclassic.com). It has a finned aluminum body to radiate heat efficiently. I don't know if

- I installed the "heavy duty" voltage reducer from Chevy Duty in-line between the heater switch and the motor after getting my 6V motor rebuilt. A multimeter reading shows that the motor is now gettin

- Yeah, the original 6 volt blower runs just slightly slower than normal after setting it up right with the resistor. Another option is to buy a 12 volt blower motor (also available at Chevy Duty) and

- Thanks for all of the feedback. While at work today, I found a 200 watt 1 ohm adjustable resistor ( it came from a DC drive). I put the resistor in series with the blower. That slowed the speed down
