Welcome to the group! I think it would be safe to say that we all welcome you. GMC had a 12 volt option, but I can't tell you that the starter remained a foot stomper style. Its so easy to switch to

55 (and maybe later) Chevy had foot operated 12 volt starters. I have one in my Grant 50 Chevy 3100 52 GMC 150 oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built between 1941 and 1959
