Quickie: in my '57 I removed the three screws that hold in the chrome bezel around the V guage cluster and it still won't budge. I suspect need to remove something else to get access to the temp guag

Hmmmn...must just be stuck..shouldn't be anythiing else holding it in....but before you pull the cluster out (and it won't come very far out at that) reach behind the dash and put a little "wiggle" o
