The 1275 I'm fitting into the Austin has a stock early 1275 manifold. Is there a trick to get the manifold to seal to the flared exhaust pipe? With no gasket, I guess the clamp has to clamp the pipe

The arrangement I'm familiar with is a cast flange that includes a replaceable metal/asbestos-type ring. See numbers 5 and 6 on this page http://mossmotors.com/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=293

Hi Glen, Sounds like you made an initial fit pretty well, but then you put on the clamp and tightened it! How I've conquered this one is to oil all surfaces of the clamp, flange, pipe, on both sides
