the only problems I have ever had out of three 1500 engines were with the head (dropping valve seats, cracking, etc). My bottom ends were always in perfect health. adrian -- _________________________

Seems to be more of a problem in Midgets than in spitfires, perhaps a ventilation issue? I heartily disagree with the notion that "the bottom ends were not changed when the capacity was increased". P
