- Does anyone know what the prefix BR means in a 1500 engine number? I have a 57 engine that starts BR15GBxxxx Hadn't seen the prefix before. Bill

- Hello Bill, Are you sure it's not BP? According to Neil Cairns, there are lots of BP15xxxx applications, but I couldn't find a BR in his listings. BP15GBxxxx denotes the 68hp B-series engine as used
