I agree with Adrian, This is basically a sound engine if carefully assembled, but I guess most engines will fail at some time if not put together properly. Having said that I have had head gaskets b

As I understand it... 1. No Cam Bearings.. 2. Poor Mains 3. Thrustwashers...actually uncontrolled machining of crank and block parts... But it does sound 20% bigger and don't a bunch of the Spitfire

Gotta go with Adrian on this one. I have a 1500 Midget that has 70K+ miles on it. I rebuilt it (myself) about 10 yrs ago, it was burning oil. I have no complaints. It still runs about 50 psi at speed
