No problem Phil, and certainly no offense taken. My car is very nice, but way off concourse already... Here are the reasons - 1) I'm converting over to a 302 V8 from the non original, but TR engine.

It doesn't make sense to me but when I placed a Ford 302 in my series Land Rover it didn't make sense to Land Rover purists either. You might consider going to a Land Rover 2 speed motor. It has the

TeriAnn, does this mean you think it moves the cable the same distance as the stock TR3 motor ? The TR3 has a short wipe, and this is part of the reason it's wipers look so lazy. Randall

They both have about the same diameter wheel that goes round & round. The single wiper LR system & the LR system are very similar. The TR3 wipers look lazy because the motor is lazy.

But it's not the diameter of the gear (wheel) that's important, it's where the pivot that the cable engages is installed into the gear. There are several different gears that fit the motor found on

Hi Teri, The 302 actually fits pretty well. there isn't enough weight difference to worry about. The frame doesn't need stiffening. the other Ford parts can be modified to fit relatively easily. -- B
