The dowels on the flywheel are for locating the pressure plate. The competition preparation manual says if you upgrade the size of the mounting bolts, you can omit the dowels. IMHO, if you have alre

I put the dowels in no matter what. My wife's TR6 PO put the clutch back on without dowels, and even though it was torqued down correctly, the plate moved back and forth, eroding the threads on the b
