I am writing to you three guys because, as you know I am on a fixed income, trying to restore my MG Midget, and have to get the best prices I can. In no way do I want to start a competition of any ki

Just to throw in my $.02. If you are not trying to restore the car to original, like it rolled off the showroom floor, there is no reason to spend $150 on a battery. Any local auto parts store or eve

Hi Bev, I think I asked you once before, but where do you live? We must have someone or some club near you who can help out. BTW, $150 for a battery is rediculous. I get mine at Wall Mart or AutoZone

Do not buy this battery. Run over to PepBoys, AutoZone, NAPA or what ever is close (I think maybe even K-Mart or WalMart) will have one. And get a group 51 that will fit a Honda Civic. Same power as

I sent one of these before, but I guess it is out there in cyberspace I have a 1976 MG Midget. On the side of it is a gray stripe and it has letters on it "SPECIAL". On the glove box there is a bronz

Beverly, according to the Original Sprite and Midget (herein referred to as the OS&M) on page 121 there is a photo of an orange "Special". These cars were offered in June of 1976 as an attempt to bri

Somehow, I don't think the Brits made a Midget to commemorate our Bi-Centennial...'-) If it does in fact have those years, someone is playing a joke on you. The plaque should read 1925 - 1975 which

Bear in mind that the anniversary cars with the dash plaques were produced April 75 to Aug 75 only. The bicentennial thing just doesn't sound correct to me! I agree with Gerard on this! :o)) Dan Dwel

One of my '75's is the Anniversary Edition, but the only thing it got was the "1925-1975" dash plaque. Of the three '75's I've owned, it's the only one to have that plaque. I don't remember the date

I don't think the Brits would celebrate 1776. My guess is that someone stuck the commenorative plaque on the dash. Maybe a 4th of July, 1976 car show participant. --David C.

In NC it is quite common for dealer groups to get together and offer a local "Special" edition. (Especially Ford trucks here ;-) ). Maybe that's what happened with Bev's Midget. Could have even been
