On the overdrive switch in general, how do you get in there to look at it? How does the knob come off? I've loosened the locking nut at the bottom, but the knob doesn't pull off and I wouldn't think

On my 77B, the top part just pulls off. I had to use a channel lock (with no teeth) to grab it and work it off. There are no threads or anything. It just pulls off. The switch is attached to the top
