I don't mean to argumentative, but my understanding has always been that Gold=new period, else why bother to differentiate Gold and Silver replacements? Dave@Taos Garage Annex in Albuquerque 59 AH :

I agree with Daniel, in fact in the UK my impression was that the (lower quality re-build) "Silver Seal" standard never real caught on because "Gold Seal" was just a better deal. But I just wonder if
