Probably not. The L-series engines have the starter on the passenger side. I suppose you could mount it upside down with the solenoid effectively "underneath" the starter, but I wouldn't. Marc Sayer,

I have an extra 240 starter and it wouldn't work well as it's 180 out from the original starter. The nose was also different so I couldn't mix and match the starter parts. Mike /// datsun-roadsters@a
