I do not believe that the HiPo crank had a different part number. It did have a higher level of nodularity in the cast iron, as determined by hardness testing. This testing left small indentations in

Here is a test you can use to determine if a crank is a HP: stand the crank upright with the rear face on the floor. Using a hammer or other suitable metal tool, light tap the face of the front (top)
