I have a SR4 (Single rail 4 speed) where 4th is an over drive that is supposed to work in the early 4 speed case. And all you have to do is turn the 3/4 shift lever over. Someone on the list had one

There is a Mk2 in PTC that has that combination. His ratios are similar for 1st and 2nd gear...3rd is direct drive and 4th is about 30% overdrive. It certainly killed the sports in the sportscar. Ji
