In a recent discussion, I was told the 5.0 HO from an 88 Mark 7 would not fit in my Tiger as the block is wider. Ive alwyas thought them to all be the same outside demensions from 260, 289, 302 5.0,

Hi Tony: Holley makes an aftermarket fuel injection system called pro-jection. It's different than the stock Ford EFI which is multiport. The Pro-Jection has a throttle body with (2) or (4) injectors

The 5.0 from an 88 Mark 7 has the same outside dimensions as all other 260, 289, 302 engines except for the smaller stock 260 and 289 rocker covers. Also, GT 40 heads will fit. Just to be sure, you

John, I think he was referring to the GT40P heads, which have a different spark plug angle and have header or exhaust manifold clearance. Mike Wood

Same width of block. Maybe they were thinking of the new modular motors; those are wider I believe. I have a later 302 in my Tiger; the bellhousing is different but the basic motor dimensions are the

Tony, the 5.0 L is the same on all Ford Co engine, so whoever told you this is not a reliable source of info. The Lincoln EFI may, and I say may fit the Tiger as the hood profile is much lower. But y
