I am considering an 1800 CC MGB engine for my 62MKII MGA Roadster. From what I am told a 3 main bearing "B" engine will fit in the motor compartment just fine and mate up with the existing ransmissio

The answer is yes and no. Depends on which 5 main engine you get. All of them will have the wrong pilot shaft bushing, but that is pretty easy to correct, as the MGA has a smaller transmission input

There is a bit more work with a 5 main. The Backplate will bolt on, but must be machined to accept the rear seal for the 5 main engine. A 67 flywheel must be used, and must be redrilled and pinned to
