Finely got around to testing the generator and I think your right. I connected the terminals together and then checked it with my meter to ground. I should be reading around 15 volts at 750 rpm. All

This may seem silly but did you polarize the generator when you installed it? I the polarization is reversed it will not charge. There is no guarantee that it is correctly polarized when you buy it.

Not silly at all. The spit is the first car with a generator iv'e owned in a long long time and I did not not know about polariziing the generator. I did polarize it when I was told how to do it. th
