The decal to make a 7000 Rpm tach looks very nice, but there is another way. The numerals and markings on the MkI and MkIA Tigers match the markings, etc. on the Series IV Alpine, which uses a 7000 R

I do believe the Alpine (negative ground) and the Tiger tachs are the same except for the face. There was an old CAT tech tip that suggested using the Alpine tach and changing the 4 cyl to 8 cyl usin

Converting a SV tach is so simple that TT is probably not the only one that can do it. It involves 2 steps: 1) Turn the adjusting pot inside the tach until your indicated RPM matches the known RPM of
