Hmmm, I don't know about your pump, either, but something else struck me in your message. Since you have newly converted to SUs, you may not be aware that there should be a fuel drain line connected

Normally, it is necessary to utilize a fuel pressure regulator with the SU's. Set it at 3#.

Can't comment on whether your pump should tick constantly or not, but fuel overflowing from the carbs is definitely wrong (and dangerous). The usual cause is dirt in the float valve(s) preventing the
