- Greg Consider a 1275 from a later midget. I went from a 1098 to a 1275 in my 71 and buddy was I impressed ! you'd probably want the tranny too. But hang onto and rebuild the 948 with matching numbers

- Correct me if I'm wrong, but your '71 is supposed to have the 1275 engine, isn't it? I think the 1098 was stopped in '67. What happened to the original 1275? -Nory '74 Midget & '71 parts car '94 Ford
