If you want to run /GT somehow your going to have to fit (not use) the stock tank. Can you put the new tank inside the original one? I believe you can cut the top out to make it happen. Ed & Dan, you

Ed; For almost 20 years I used the stock fuel tank as a water reservoir in my Vega. It finally got so rusted that I had to give up on it. But I have no radiator and have never wanted one. Rich Fox

Yeah Rich, I remember your earlier comments on how well this worked. Did you us "for real" gas tank or fab a steel tank in the stock location. My stock tank is awful flimsy and seems very rust-prone.

Can't get it coated inside without cracking it open; has a bladder & foam POR is an even BETTER idea than the fiberglass and a lot easier. Thanks, Ed

Hey Bill, check out POR 15 is a neat sealer for stopping up leaky welds, seams, and pin holes in gas tanks. used it for years on old motorcycles and it never failed. == .............................
