I note that such kits exist for the Stag (Moss price list, Summer 96), although I've never seen a definitive list. I'd like to convert my '74 non-O/d TR6 to A (yes A) type o/d, so I'll be following

If the OD unit has about a 2 inch diameter brass drain plug on the bottom, it is the A-type overdrive. Dave, San Diego 1970 TR6 PI RHD CP51649 (A-type OD owner installed) ____________________________

Yes. The A-type has the solenoid moundet vertically and the J-type has the solenoid mounted horizontally. Dave St. Louis, MO USA
