FYI, Loctite makes a "kit" to do this. It is designed to repair stripped threads. Basically there process does what Rick has done, but their product is made especally to repair threads. Larry Hoy

Hi Dave. Thanks for the note. I don't know. The epoxy is just to provide a sealing surface for the gasket. Below the epoxy is the previous owner's HeliCoil. It WILL take the torque. rick
