A vent... I've been fighting the carbs (DAYS!!) on one of my motorcycle projects, an '86 Ninja 1000R. All four carbs totally rebuilt, jets probed with my new pin gages, gone over top to bottom. But,

Cool, thanks for sharing if ya get bored with that, you could always throw it in a car and go over 250 mph at Bonneville like our own Mr. Savage, and also that bike is built into a REAL mean machine

First off, who cares about main jets at this point if it wont start. I you say it runs of starter fluid, need to start back at the basics. If it aint getting fuel why not on start. With air box off c

Yep, that's kind of what I'm saying, even if the main jets are way wrong, it should at least start and run. I should be tuning the carbs by now... I can see fuel around the needles, this bike is real

Aron, if they are CV carbs they may have been keeping the needles firmly seated in the slides to keep them from bouncing around, see if you can lift a needle some without moving the slide. TD
