I used "OOPS" in an inconspicuous location on my Spitfire, and it DID remove the top layer of paint (which is orriginal). I assume it is a laquer paint, so I don't know about on a clear-coat paint jo

I do not doubt you, but I have a feeling you either removed oxidized paint scale or there is something else in that Oops can, this stuff is almost harmless usually.

What adhesives do you folks recommend for redoing the interior and all rubber door and window trim? It appears that 3M spray is the adhesive of choice for carpeting and vinyl trim but what works best

I have a set of door seals ready to install. They came with the car when I bought it, so I have no assurance that they match the OEM part. These have aluminum alligator teeth embedded in the rubber,

I used 3M weather strip adhesive for trunk rubber. The waist seals seals are held on by clips as are the inside window seals. All are obtainable from the big 3. Larry Zink 1964 Spitfire4 Hosuton
