1. Adjusting fuel level on a "fixed" float? (score: 1)

Dear List, According to the SU documentation the fuel level can be adjusted by bending the metal plate on the fuel float. (When upside-down the distance between float en lid should be approx. 4mm for

Looking at it logically (always a dangerous thing) if the book gives a clearance and says to bend the metal tab on those floats that have them in order to obtain the correct clearance, then having th

What I'd do is get rid of the adjustable float, use two of the plastic floats with the stock, spring-loaded needles and not worry about the adjustment. That's what I did after changing washers ad inf

I'm not so sure that float level is all that critical for reasons I'll go into below, but float level and jet level control two different things. Using jet level to compensate for a different float l

The below is not true. Both affect the mixture. You have to fine tune the jet level to compensate for _slight_ differences in float level. Cheers, CR /// or try http://www.team.net/cgi-bin/majorcool

Yer hairsplitting. Change the float level and you change the level of the fuel in the jet. Change the jet height and you change the level of the fuel in the jet. Same thing by different means. Cheers

Of course changing the fuel level in the jet changes the mixture. It's essentially a gravity-feed system from the bowl to the jet. Why else would one adjust the float height? When you adjust the jet
