Should I be maintaining or changing the carbon in the adsorption canister in my 1975? What are the indications if there are problems? Thanks, Jim 1975 MGB /// or try http://www.team.net/cgi-bin/major

Replace the carbon with the stuff you can buy for fishtank filters in the pet shop. Indications? Smell perhaps, oil filler cap problems maybe, vacuum in gas tank... Cheers, Hans '71 BGT in /// or try

I would be carefull with this. Although the clogged or otherwise bad functioning filter has been fixed, there should not be a smell in the boot. Better to find still where it comes from out of safety
