I am restoring a Tiger II and would like to pull the engine. It has been suggested to me that I lift the body off the engine rather than lift he engine out. Anyone have experience doing this? Any re

You are definitely being steered in the right direction. Pulling the motor out the top is very difficult because you have to pull the engine and trans as one, and it is very hard to get the whole op

You can reduce the hieght needed when pulling the engine from the top by raising the rear of the car. The engine then (more or less) comes out by pulling it straight forward after the engine/trans as

I have pullled and installed Tiger engines from the top in a standard garage many times. When the engine's oil pan is high enough to clear the body , I simply lift the the tail of the transmission up
