I've never heard of "cavity wax" (now THAT sounds ominous), but I have read that Waxoyl can be diluted with new engine oil for getting into tighter spaces. I think Porter mentions it in his Guide to

Might have a negative effect on the 'stiction'. Even in a UK summer both my cars drip a little Waxoyl (used undiluted) from the cavities. PaulH.
