I had similar woes a month or so ago--finally discovered that the coil to distributor wire was burned off at distrib end. Unmake and re-make those high-tension connnections and do a resistance check

Hello??? Mike Razor Never try to put anything new in an MG on the day of, or before, a = big event. I missed a big club autocross 'cuz I tried to put new = springs in at 5AM before a 10AM event. DUH.

Sorry, didn't mean to sound like changing the oil would fix the flooded carb. but if it floods too much then the gas runs into the oil and it should be changed. Sorry Larry Macy 78 Midget
