First, I'll second some previous suggestions, with the exception of PVC for air lines. PVC may hold the pressure, but if it does break under pressure, it can shatter and send pieces flying. Accident

I can offer a suggestion regarding painting. A friend of mine who paints cars on a regular basis has a neato trap that uses a roll of toilet paper as a filter and does a great job of keeping nasties
