Isn't that really the issue here? If a rusted out tiger is rebuilt fron an Alpinse body shell, it's an Alger. Where is the line between a restored Tiger and one of those fradulent Alpine conversions?

If you want to hack into something call Norm Miller, he has a tiger that some previous owner hacked into the firewall and floorpan, you could take that car and the alpine and make what you want and

I've already checked with the SCCA on this. If I run a Tiger crossmember, the car will run legally as a Tiger. If it has the Alpine crossmember, or anything other than stock (like something custom)

Gold ? You ca get a 9" Ford with any width for under $1000 with billet axels. If you want to go cheep an older CJ-5 Jeep rear end is withen 1" of the stock Tiger width and it is a Dana 44. Doug....
