- If the alignments truly was important, wouldn't that imply that they balanced the drive shaft together with the differential input yoke and gear? I think that is highly improbable... Ulix Ulix __/__,

- Here's my unsolicited .02 worth. In every truck I've ever worked on or known, the driveshaft was statically balanced - It didn't matter how the sucker went back on, since it was balanced regardless

- Hi Tom, I had a similar problem for over a year, a nasty vibration 50-60 mph. I of course checked the driveshaft by grabbing it and giving it a good twist, which told me the U's were O.K. Kept Suffer

- One other note on this drive shaft thread.... There is a pair of alignment arrows at the trans end of every MG shaft I've taken off! If you look very carefully(through the rust), you'll see what look
