I just discovered that my 80 spit with an Allison after market electronic ignition has NOT had the ballast resistor bypassed. This means that the 12V coil AND the ignition module are running on 8V. I

According to the instructions that came with my Crane (nee Allison) ignition, there is supposed to have a ballast resistance wither internal to the coil or externally in the form of a ceramic resist
