I wouldn't worry about it Eric. MY '69 B's warning light sometimes comes on at low idle (~950) when the headlights are on, will go out when I rev it up and will stay out when it drops back to idle. K

The standard alternator will almost certainly show a difference in brightness between idle and off idle, but shouldn't at higher engine speeds unless you have other heavy loads connected at the same
