You know, I'm pretty sure you're right, ie, that there is more than one model the GM/AC-Delco alternator, but I'll be damned if I know what the model number is for the one I used. The reason is that

I put a GM Alt in following Mike G's instructions. It is a 3 wire so it works without a lot of goofball wiring mods. Just make sure you get the 12 version. Otherwise the plug won't fit because it run
