- Since brackets that fit Ford alternators to Ford engines already exist, wouldn't be easier to put up the external regulator and added wiring and go with off-the-shelf stuff? Roland

- Cullen: never had that problem with the GM alt. It charged the instant the engine started. Did you compleatly disconnect the original voltage regulator? The diagram I got with my one wire alt.has it
