- Hi Wayne Yes this is an aluminum plug ... it is actually sold as a "bar" with several pieces all linked together (like a Rollo chocolate bar). You screw it in and break it off. No idea why this is al

- Wayne--Since the shop is going to be hot tanking the block, I'd just leave it to them to remove the balance of this aluminum plug. They must get a lot of experience with this. Ask them in advance. Ye
