The antenna on my '79 B roadster is broken off, and I want to put in a modern replacement that will extend when the radio is turned on. Problem is, I can't see how to remove and replace the antenna.

Look under the wheel arch behind the wheel and you will see a panel bolted to the footwell box all the way up, and with a rubber seal closing the gap to the wing. Removing that will allow you to remo

What's with the aerial position on MGBs? Is there an original "factory" position? It seems that Howard's '79 roadster is on the front wing. I've had two '73 model BGTs, Sammy I (built in Dec '72) had

My UK 73 roadster came with it on the LH rear wing, my 75 V8 with it on the RH front. Many years ago I read that it was best practice to fit it diagonally opposite to where the ignition was located (

My current 'B has it on the drivers side front. Looking at the 1 picture I have of my old 72 (I guess I couldn't use a camera in college :-) ), it was on the passenger side. Both LHD. Paul Root ptroo
