As I understand it... ...the original Frogeye/Sprite sway bar was an Austin-Healey factory option. The A-frame mounting plate looked almost exactly like the lower front mounting plate for a Wheelrite

"IF it became standard..." Right. I was told by other LBC Spridget types that all "later" cars (whatever the hell that means!) shipped into the US came with the 9/16" bar as standard but I sure don't

Yes Bugeye optional sway bars were very different from the "later" standard type. Single hole in the A arm mount and a totally different type of bar. Later standard bars used a 3 hole mounting ear bo
