I think that if you put a 1500 in your 74 you can have the carbs on the other side like you want,I've seen the dash overlay and I guess it depends on how bad your dash is ,I wouldn't recommend it for

In the UK one can buy a front bonnet repair section (square bodied Spridget, not Bugeye) Not as good as a new bonnet, but a great deal cheaper ! I fitted one about 8 years ago on my all-weather daily

even last you to cut recracked it, the overlays windshield? worth the I love mine, looks great, only anal retentive types notice it, hasn't cracked(doesn't see too much sun, garage kept), fits great.

I have to agree with Ric here , if installed properly, nobody can tell the difference and they will not crack. The old dash takes a bit of time to prep and you need to find a few innovative clamping
